Description: Members will be outdoors using chalk to create positive messages regarding the school and graduation. The event will be outside by the athletic complex and the football field. Description: Volunteers will be attending Key Club's Regional Training Conferences! Regional Training Conferences (RTCs) are held in the spring and fall to simply educate and train all Key Clubbers. Anyone from club presidents to general members to non-Key Club members can attend! Your NJ District Board will host workshops on various topics focusing on skills to improve your performance in Key Club. You get to meet key clubbers from all around New Jersey and even the newest members of the KCI NJ District Board. Additionally, this year’s theme for RTCs is a Meme Theme! 06/26/21 Community Pride Day: Park Edition

Description: Volunteers will help pick up trash at Tony Canale Park. We will mostly be near the woods, or in the area behind the playground. Free lunch and a t-shirt will be provided. After cleaning, you will be able to pick up their free sandwiches at Castle Park Facility at Veterans Memorial Park. Volunteers are required to wear a mask at all times and to social distance. Please do not forget to sign up for the Community Pride Day: Park Edition RSVP event and fill out the google form attached to that event.

06/28/21 Fundraising for GLADD and LGBTQ+ Rights

Description: June is Pride Month, and to help spread awareness, members will be supporting GLAAD, an organization that supports LGBTQ+ rights through media coverage and support for legal efforts. Volunteers will read the linked article about a recent event, and then fill out the Google Form to check their understanding of the issue. Using their existing knowledge and what they have learned, they must contact at least three others about the topic. Finally, they must donate using the link below. Donating $5 will earn one hour, and $10 will give two. Proof of the contacts and donations can be added to the aforementioned Google Form. Please complete this event by the end of June 28th!

06/29/21 End of the Year Congratulatory Poster Making

Description: Volunteers will be creating posters celebrating the end of the school year and congratulating everyone for their hard work and effort during this unprecedented year. To create these posters, volunteers are advised to bring paper, markers, colored pencils, and various art supplies. These posters will be shared through social media, text, email, etc. to any senior graduates, students, teachers, or staff members. The event will take place at Tony Canale Park, around the playground area. Following safety guidelines, volunteers are required to wear masks at this event. 07/02/21 Gardening at the Nature Reserve

Description: Volunteers will help preserve the hillside at the Nature Reserve that has become overgrown due to the pandemic. They will help clear out the area, put down eco-soil, and plant wildflowers. Gardening tools, trash bags, and flower seeds will be provided.

Wearing long pants, sunscreen, and bug spray is advised. If you would like, you could also bring gardening gloves. Please bring water as it will be hot.
